~ the AC sage - part 1 ~

27 June 1999

New York has been extremely hot and humid for the last couple of days. everyone is wearing tank top and i noticed that most of the people are wearing sandals to work. i’m so glad that Bolt do not have dress code.. hehehe…

it’s a big torture to stay home, since i don’t have an AC. the heat is almost unbearable. i had a hard time falling asleep cause it was just plain too hot. i would try to stay at work as long as i could, or at least until the sun down.

so, today, ari and i decided to make a trip to Circuit City to do an AC shopping. by the time we got there, we saw a huge circle of people in front of Circuit City, that we thought the fire alarm of the store went off and everyone had to clear off the store.

but, as you have probably guessed, it was the line where people pick up their AC. i immediately lost the urge of buying AC. the thought of standing in line, waiting for hours when the temperature is near 100F, was just a big no-no for me. besides, i didn’t bring my car, and the box of the AC were huge! i wouldn’t be able to carry it myself, even with ari’s help…

so, we decided to go back during the weekend, since the store’s closing time is 9:30pm. that means, i can still catch it after work.
