~ hot! Hot! HOT! ~
NY is almost like hell. the temperature reached up to 106F. even now, at 10:30 at night, the temperature is still on the 90’s… my oh my, i’m glad that ari and i decided to stay at my apartment, instead of going to Manhattan.
we were going to take a walk in Manhattan, but after opening my apartment window, we realized that it was too hot to go outside. the cool from the AC were gone within 5 minutes of opening the window.
i just finished watching the news. the heat wave caused many things, such as power outting in part of Queens and Long Island due to overload use of electricity, road failure on several parts of Manhattan, lack of water and ER overload. 175000 people went to the beach today. no more AC available in any store.
first of all, having no power in the middle of scorching summer would be one of my worst nightmare. thank god it didn’t happen to me….
second, with this all road failures everywhere, i can’t imagine how hectic the rush hour would be tomorrow. and i can’t imagine how hot the workers who are working on fixing those roads this afternoon….. gosh, they must be a bunch of strong people.
and according to the forecast, tomorrow would be just like today…..
aah…! it feels like the $400 AC is now worth millions…
