~ thank you mom pt. 2 ~

aina and popo

another mom left today. this means, starting today, we’re on our own. for real. wow.

ari’s mom was here for almost a month, starting the day after my mom left for Jakarta. just like my mom, she did all the house chores: cooking, cleaning, laundry, sweeping… she also gave many tips on taking care of Aina — one of them is “how to make Aina poop”, which is very useful!

last night, all the sudden i got stomach ache. it felt like my stomach ulcer is coming back. we can’t really figure out the reason for the acting up tummy, but i think i was just nervous that she’s leaving… i’m still nervous that we’re on our own.

so, thank you, mom… for all the stuff you’ve done. and wish us luck, too!

hi! first of all, congratulations on your baby - she’s so cute! :)
i have a question, more of a curiosity maybe: why does she always seems to have these cute socks-like things on her hands? are you afraid she scratches herself otherwise? just wondering, i had never seen it before.

all the best.

hi ana, they’re baby mittens. aina is known for scratching herself, especially her face during sleep and whenever she cries — sometimes until the wound bleeds. so, for safety, we put the mittens on her.
