~ MoMA trip ~

12 March 2001

oh, so many things i wanna post, so little time to do it. work has been taking over my life.

anyways, my parents just got back from Mecca… arrived safely yesterday, although they both are just having a little cold. hopefully, they’ll be fine.

i went to MoMA to see the workspheres exhibit. some of the stuff are pretty good, but nothing impressive. if you’ve been subscribing to design magazine and go to Moss regularly, you’ll pretty much see the same stuff there. the impressive one is the Andreas Gursky photography exhibit. simply breathtaking. as ari said right after we got off the museum, “… Gursky is my new hero.”

and here is some of the photos we took around the Museum:

they all are outside of the Museum, since we couldn’t take pictures inside (of course).

i couldn’t agree more about the moma shows…the only thing in the workspheres thing that really blew me away was the big truck, which i liked partly just because—wow, the first thing you see walking into the staid moma is a giant truck! wow. but gursky was amazing.

oh, i didn’t know that the truck was a part of the workspheres exhibition. remember the caravan? funny thing is the amount of the bed’s headspace is about the same as my bed’s headspace at home. i bump my head a lot.
