~ little blanket ~

18 May 2010

everytime we go to restaurants, aina looks for wet tissues packet. she opens the packet up, dry the tissue and use it for blanket for her stuffed toys, whom she calls her children…

yesterday, the restaurant didn’t serve wet tissues. aina complained in a dramatic fashion, “what’s going to happen to my children? they won’t have any blanket and they’ll be cold! oh nooooo!!”

so i promised her that i’ll make real blanket for her children… but we arrived home late yesterday and didn’t have time to make blankets. today, she nagged and kept telling me i should knit a small blanket. i told her that knitting will take much longer and suggested sewing instead. she, of course, approved… one of her favorite activity is to play with bobby pins, no matter how many times she pricked herself. she likes hanging out in the craft room.

she picked a few fabric for the blanket.

and i made her a quick patchwork blanket out of leftover fabric. machine-quilted it really quick… and she loooooves it!

so, this is Little Red (one of her children) wearing the patchwork side of the blanket…

aina seems to like the plaid side better…

sebelum ini dia demen banget ngabisin tissue buat selimut. yang diselimutin bukan cuma 1 boneka, tapi 4-5… moga2 abis ini, tissue rumah lebih tahan lama :)
