expiration date 

this afternoon/evening, ari and i went to the Good Vibrations Festival 2007 at Fort Canning. we got there a little after 6PM, and we just missed Guerrilla Collective playing. but not long after that, the Wicked Aura percussion started, which was pretty cool.

even though Singapore was raining the whole New Year, including earlier today, the rain had stopped when we got to Fort Canning. that’s a good thing, because the whole concert was outdoor. the ground was quite wet, but i guess people didn’t really care… they just sat around the grass anyway.

it was such a nice atmosphere… i really enjoyed listening to good music and doing some people watching. we also bumped into a few friends, as Singapore is quite small…. but since i got this bulge on my belly, i didn’t go to the front of the stage and dance around… actually i didn’t dance at all. i spent most of the time either walking or sitting. the baby in the tummy did “dance” a few times, though.

too bad we couldn’t stay the whole way and actually watch Beastie Boys on stage. we left at the end of Cut Copy performance, since i got really tired. it’s that sleepiness again… basically, it’s a pregnancy alarm that goes off whenever i try to push things too far. it tells me to stop and rest.

of course, i was a little disappointed. i don’t mind missing Jurassic 5 so much, since we’ve seem them play in LA a few years back. but i really wanted to see Beastie Boys… oh well. maybe after the baby is born, we can go and watch them later ;)

ps: i only took photos when the sun was still out, because the battery went dead not long before the sunset :(
