~ short haircut ~

13 January 2004

ari and i arrived in Singapore very early in the morning (around 5 in the morning, i think). ari left for work, i went to bed. *yawn*

after work, ari and i met up around Orchard to get haircut. we go to the same salon, although we have different hairdresser. we came out of Wisma Atria with our new look and a very very short hair.

met up with nia and had dinner at Nooch. yummy ramen. yumm…

now, about the hairdresser… this is the same hairdresser that cut my hair a few months ago. i have this love-hate relationship with him… (although i think the love-hate relationship thing is not mutual. i’m the only one who feels this way.)…

see, this guy is a great hairdresser. he cuts well, i love the way he cuts my hair. he’s very thorough and picky, which i like from a hairdresser. but he doesn’t stop putting me down. he keeps telling me how bad my hair condition (it’s too dry), he wrinkled his nose every 5 minutes, making me feel that my hair looks disgusting. it keeps going until he finished the cut.

i keep thinking not to come back to that salon, but everytime i look up and see my face in the mirror, the whole feeling dissapeared and i didn’t mind the put down.

i dislike his attitude, but i love the result. *sigh*. and two days from now, i’ll be there again to have him dye my hair.

i love the new haircut, it suits you well, you look so fresh!

next time you go there, bring a discman, or an earplug ;)

btw, whats the name of the salon?

irene | 13 January 2004 - 05:50 | reply

hee, thanks :) and the discman is a great (and hillarious) idea… hahaha. i don’t remember the name of the salon. actually, i have to ask nia the name and the phone number once she gets home, cause i have to make appointment for tomorrow.

Soo cute. The only bad thing about pixie cuts is the maintenance. What color will you dye your hair? I wouldn’t go back but take this picture to the next hairdresser you go to.

Mona | 13 January 2004 - 06:38 | reply

you’re so right about maintaining pixie cut. but i had it before and i loved it. my shower time decreased by half!

i’m not sure what color i’m going to go for, but probably nothing drastic (= boring brown or orange).

thalia | 13 January 2004 - 07:25 | reply

orange. hmm that’s not boring. Red on asian are typical, but not orange. a combo of highlights should be pretty.

Mona | 13 January 2004 - 08:56 | reply

hehehe, i guess i shouldn’t say orange. it’s not red, but it’s not brown either. a little on the orange side. but i won’t look like orange (the fruit). tried that before, and it was hard to get a job ;)
