have you ever watched Metropolis? it’s a legendary silent movie… if you haven’t watched the movie, go rent it now. it’s a must see…
i watched that movie again tonight at the Winter Garden (World Financial Center) with friends. the Alloy Orchestra, which makes their instrument out of junks and such, accompanied the movie. unfortunately, i could only see aobut 1/3 of the screen.
if you’ve been to the Winter Garden, you know that there are palm trees in the middle of the court. the place was packed, which maybe because the admission was free. so we sat on the back, and there are 3 palm trees covering the big screen. oh well, at least i’ve seen the movie, so i could sort of guess… and the Alloy Orchestra was pretty cool in enhancing the mood. it sorta makes me realize how important the role of music on movies. i guess, i have always taken it for granted.
